POSITION:  8th Grade Social Studies

LOCATION:  Pewitt Junior High School

 

 

Position Summary:  Provide students with appropriate instruction to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.  Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

 

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

 

Licenses/Other:

Appropriate State of Texas Teaching Certificate

 

 

Degree in history and/or experience teaching 8th grade social studies preferred. 

 

Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
• Knowlege of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage classroom
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
